FAQ
Questions families ask us
If yours isn’t here, ask on our first call. There is no charge to have a conversation.
What does "faith-based" actually mean here?
It means every nanny we place is a practicing Christian who is comfortable living out her faith in your home: praying with your children, talking about Jesus when the questions come up, taking them to church if that is part of the job, and reinforcing what you are teaching. We work with families from many Christian traditions, and we take the time to understand what faith looks like in your home specifically.
We're Catholic. Is this for us?
Yes. We place nannies with Catholic, evangelical, and mainline Protestant families. On our first call, tell me what matters in your home: Mass, the rosary, grace before meals, saints’ days, whatever it is. I match accordingly.
How is this different from a nanny website or app?
On an app, you do all the vetting yourself, and you rarely learn anything about a person’s faith or character until she is already in your home. Here, I do the vetting. You only meet nannies who have already been interviewed, screened, and matched to your family.
How is this different from a referral from church?
A referral gets you shared faith, but usually no background check, no reference calls, no backup if it doesn’t work out, and an awkward situation at church if you have to let her go. We give you the shared faith and the professional process.
How long does it take to find a nanny?
Most placements take [X to X weeks] from our first conversation to your nanny’s first day. It depends on your schedule, your location, and how specific your needs are. I will give you an honest timeline on our call.
What screening does every nanny go through?
A personal interview with me, a faith and values conversation, a comprehensive background check, a driving record check, verified work history with reference calls, and current CPR and first aid certification. [JEN: add anything else you require.]
What if it isn't a good fit?
Call me. I stay involved after placement, and if something isn’t working, we address it. [JEN: state your replacement guarantee here, e.g. “If your nanny leaves within the first X days, I find a replacement at no additional fee.”]
Do you place part-time or occasional nannies?
[JEN TO CONFIRM: full-time, part-time, live-in, after-school, newborn care, date-night sitters.]
What does it cost?
[JEN: fee structure. Keep it simple and put it in writing.] There is no charge to have a first conversation.
What areas do you serve?
[SERVICE AREA]. If you are just outside it, reach out anyway. I can often help.
I'm a nanny. How do I apply?
